Celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Week 14-20th February
Marlow resident, Jim Mills, who turned 90 this week, is to receive a special birthday delivery of his own! During the pandemic, Jim has been going above and beyond, arranging orders of our ready meals for his neighbours who have been unable to go shopping.
Linda Raddon, Jim’s daughter, said: “My Mum died in September, having been nursed by my Dad for many years, and it is not an understatement to say that organising the Parsley Box order for his neighbours has been his lifeline. Looking after those around him has given him a purpose and a reason to keep going.”
Jim deserves to be recognised for the work that he has done for his community”Kevin Dorren, CEO
In conjunction with our celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Week, we are rewarding Jim’s kindness and helping celebrate his milestone birthday by granting him 300 shares in our company.
Chief Executive Kevin Dorren, who personally gifted Jim the shares, said: “Jim is an inaugural member of Parsley People, the name given to our extraordinary customers. We love taking calls from Jim, a retired food salesman, who has become a regular, placing orders for his neighbours to ensure they’re never low on meals. When we found out he had a big birthday coming up we wanted to spoil him.
“It’s people like Jim who make kindness the norm and he deserves to be recognised for the work that he has done for his community.”
